Augmented Reality DevCamp Zurich
1st of March 2010's Augmented Reality Dev Camp Zürich organized by Chrsitine Perrey was very interesting.
(see published Outcomes and Supporting Materials)
You can find more participants' feedback with the twitter hash tag #arzurich. (or other blogs: Dan Romescu )
You can aslo join the ARCH-Swiss Augmented Reality meetup group.
On my side I was impressed by by Thomas Frey's Sudoku program based on Oberon : automatic recognition, solution and result publication in real-time (~33 milliseconds) of one or more Sudoku matrix. (select the picture to launch the related video)
From all the attended sessions, I think that one of the most promising area on the short term for Augmented Reality is for Marketing & Communication support for Web, PC and especially during event. Bruno Mettler's (from Vanija) knowhow on this area was great and also his Bombardier project, see here a similar demo:
The following Mobile Monday experiential (and experimental) event closed perfectly this journey with the opportunity to really explore Augmented Reality first hand.
